Mt.Fox is a sake brand that blends Japanese mythology, nature, and craftsmanship—rooted in Aichi and inspired by the divine fox.

Mt.Fox is a sake brand born from the fox legends and deep-rooted faith of Aichi, Japan.
For centuries, foxes—kitsune—have been revered in Japanese Shinto belief as divine messengers of the gods, especially at Inari shrines.
Our brewery, Yamada Sake Brewery, founded in 1871 in the town of Kanie, has been offering sake to a local shrine for many decades as part of this enduring faith.

While “Mt.Fox” is not a name from old tales, it symbolizes the spirit of where we come from:
“Mt.” for Yamada, our founding family name, symbolizing the mountains.
“Fox” for the divine messenger that protects and inspires us.
